Oil and Gas Business Development
Job description
We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to lead and expand our oil and gas business, with a strong focus on securing natural gas resources. This position will play a key role in identifying upstream opportunities, forming strategic partnerships, and supporting our company's long-term energy development goals in both domestic and international markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and evaluate natural gas resource opportunities, both in Canada and globally
- Establish and maintain relationships with upstream producers, pipeline operators, and energy companies
- Lead negotiations for gas purchase agreements, offtake contracts, and joint ventures
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences
- Collaborate closely with internal teams to align business development strategies with operational needs
- Monitor industry trends and provide market intelligence, competitor analysis, and strategic recommendations
- Support company leadership in developing go-to-market strategies for new resource partnerships
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Business, Engineering, Energy, or a related field
- Minimum 10 years of experience in oil and gas, energy trading, or resource development
- Strong industry network, especially in the upstream natural gas sector
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and across global teams
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required
- Experience working with North American markets (preferred)
- Familiarity with LNG, midstream infrastructure, and regulatory environments in the energy sector (preferred)

Monday to Friday, with travel requirements
